A Transport Planning Role with Room to Shape your Future
This isn’t a job advert with a list of duties or a fixed title, it’s an open invitation.

If you’re passionate about transport planning, interested in taking greater ownership of your work, and keen to contribute to the direction of a growing consultancy, we’d love to hear from you.

At Nota Bene Consulting, we’re a team of people from a wide range of backgrounds, ages, and experiences, all united by a shared commitment to making a positive impact through thoughtful, human-centred solutions.
Since 2020, we’ve supported local authorities, combined authorities, and national bodies in shaping transport decisions that last. We’ve grown steadily and intentionally, not to do more work, but to do the right work well.

If you’re curious about what we do, inspired by our mission, or interested in future opportunities to work with us, please get in touch. We always welcome conversations with people who share our values and enthusiasm for meaningful transport planning.

Who We Look For
We’re always interested in connecting with people who bring experience, good judgment, and the motivation to grow within a collaborative environment. You might currently be a senior planner, principal consultant, associate, or working in a completely different field but with valuable, transferable skills. What matters most is how you think, how you work, and the perspective you bring.
People who thrive with us often have some of the following qualities or experiences:

-
Experience in transport planning or a related field such as policy, research, strategy, project delivery, business case development, appraisal, or modelling.
-
An ability to build trust with clients through clarity, follow-through, and substance.
-
Confidence in leading and managing projects while staying close to the technical detail.
-
An understanding of how consultancy works, how relationships form, how opportunities develop, and how partnerships grow.
-
A desire to help shape the business with a passion for mentoring others, influencing how we work, and creating the space for better ideas to emerge.
If this sounds like you, or you’re curious to learn more about how we work, we always welcome a conversation.
